For every circuit board the VMS design team will consider all of the following elements:

  • Circuit Design - this is where our experienced designers will take the functional requirements of each circuit board and produce a schematic design.
  • Component selection - correct component selection is vital to ensure optimal reliability, performance and cost.
  • Mechanical design - the design team must also understand the mechanical requirements, what space constraints exist, how will the board be mounted, what forces will it be subjected to during its lifetime.
  • MTBF - the predicted Mean Time Between Failure for any electronic component is always considered to ensure the right balance between reliability and cost.
  • PCB Layout - our designers will consider the optimum positions and orientations for every component, taking into account mechanical constrains, electrical parameters and thermal design.
  • The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances - ( RoHS ) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment ( EEE ) Directive (2011/65/ EU ).
  • Environmental considerations - the design team will consider all possible extremes of temperature, humidity and vibration the equipment could encounter during its operational lifetime.
  • Electromagnetic compatibility - (EMC), our equipment must not interfere with other electronics or be susceptible to conducted or radiated emissions.
